Air Conditioning System Inspections (TM44)

What is a TM44 Air Conditioning System Inspection?

It is a legal requirement that a regular inspection of air-conditioning systems with an output greater than 12kW take place. Inspections must be completed no more than 5 years apart and it is the responsibility of the building owners and/or managers who have day-to-day control of the system to arrange the inspection. Though it is compulsory to have a valid TM44 Certificate and Report, it can also help to improve the energy efficiency of the building as well.

As part of improving its efficiency, the report provides information on the condition of the plant and how it is maintained. It also provides data on how it is operated and produces recommendations to improve its energy efficiency and identifies any faults within the system which could potentially cause a break down.
